Welcome to today's devlog! it is July 19 2025-

I've been slowly working on a possible animated series that I'll be producing solo. This series will involve a bunch of little robot friends on a quest to find a magic cristal in a planet filled with nature, technology and greed.

The concept of the story is an evolution and maturity of tone between main arcs, where the characters become less gullible and happy-go-lucky, and more grounded in the world they live in while maintaining their traits that make them unique.

Sure its not an easy story to write, and I'm by any means a decent writer, but it is the breath of fresh air I needed from all the edgy superhero stuff I've been doing for years.

What I've done so far:

• concept art of all the main characters of the story
• half way done with the 3d model for one of said characters
• design explorations for villains and some settings

There's still plenty of things left to do for this project. I need to write the first episode, properly analyze how the characters are supposed to interact...and more importantly how I'm supposed to model the environments. I've never done proper 3d models of environments before and the thought of screwing it up scares me immensely.

I'm also not the best 3d modeller and organic models are usually a pain. I've never finished one before so I apologize in advance if some things will look bad in the final result.

A small Q&A :

1) Why don't you hire other people to help you out on the project instead of doing it solo?

-answer: I am broke. I don't have a dime on my name. In all seriousness I'd love to hire others to boost the quality where my skills aren't as refined, but as it stands I simply don't have any money to spend on this project, except the couple bucks I have for the va's.

2) Will you open a kickstarter and promote it and the project?

-answer: No. Life has made it clear to me that I won't have it as easy as others do. Nobody would spend a single dime on this project or my work, nobody ever has, and I doubt they will anytime soon.

I'm mature enough as an artist to realize that my skills barely meet the minimum requirement for any sort of support that is financial.

I won't be promoting a Kickstarter that I know will fail. If I don't have the money for a proper team I don't have the money for promotional material either. It's just how it is.
